The Renaissance London Heathrow

Looking for an Airport Hotel with parking at London Gatwick, then look no further..

The Renaissance London Heathrow by Marriott is perfect for those traveling with Virgin Atlantic from Terminal 3.

This is our go-to hotel when flying from Heathrow. We love how close it is to the airport, there is plenty parking and the rooms are clean and comfortable, some even have views of the runway!

Parking

We have left the car at this hotel on numerous occasions. The hotel offers on-site surface parking protected by automated barriers. Our experience is the car stays where you park it and you keep the keys. This makes for a quick getaway on your arrival home, just get your ticket validated at reception and you’re on your way.

Top tip: Drive all the way round the back side of the building as there is a further entrance with plenty of parking at the rear.

Rooms

The Renaissance offers Queen or Twin rooms and when booking directly you can opt to upgrade to runway view, executive or suite if you’re looking to treat yourselves. Connecting rooms are available for families, however I would call to book these if it’s a key requirement.

Rooms are nicely furnished and Air conditioned, include Kettle with tea and coffee, hair dryer,  Iron and Ironing board. Basic Wifi is free and high speed is available at a local surcharge.

Transport

Only a short distance from Terminal 3, around 10 to 15 minutes.

There is a shuttle bus stop for the hotelhoppa, tickets and times can be found at a kiosk in the hotel lobby or can be purchased online or via an app. You can purchase tickets on the bus, however these are slightly more expensive. More details can be found here

For two or more people there is not a great difference in cost for a taxi or uber which have usually cost us around £15.

We tend to hop on the shuttle bus on departure and then grab a cab on the way home when we’re tired and just want to get back to the car.

Summary

A great hotel with parking, offering great value for the standard and proximity to the airport.
